Crafting Tip #9

Rule of 3 (see tip #8) extends to color too. It creates balance to repeat a color an odd number of times. In the first photo I used red 5 times. In the second photo I used yellow 5 times and red 5 times. In the third photo blue is used 3 times. Again, not a hard and fast rule, but it can help your layouts looks planned.
