Another Tag Sample

This one was done with red computer paper between the die and the cardstock. If you use a shim it pushes the computer paper into the dots.

A Fun Discovery

If I run this PTI tag through with a shim and a piece of white computer paper on top, it fills the holes with white dots and I love that effect!

Best Faux Letterpress Results I've Had

Click the title of this to see the technique. My magnet sheets would not cut, so I tried Papertrey Chipboard Coaster (a little thinner than regular paper coasters) and did the same thing and had really nice results using my dies. I just did small dies and I did use a metal shim.

Excellent Easy Video on Partial Embossing

Click the title of this post and watch Sharon teach this method in the clearest way possible.

And Now There Are 2

See post below this one for how I did it. This one uses a Memory Box die.

Covering Candles with Punched Paper

This is the first of several patterns I plan to do. The candle is battery operated and from Costco. I just punched a 6 x 9 sheet of black cardstock with a Martha Punch All Over the Page. I am also going to do a couple using dies that I have.

More Samples of the Technique Below

More Fun with the Embossing Kiss

A new obsession. Scroll down to see how this is done. I am dragging out stamps from all over the place to see which ones lend themselves to this. I haven't even tried other folders yet to see how they work!

A Card I Made Yesterday with the Technique Shown Below

Scroll down for instructions.

Works better than the old "kissing the rubber" technique because the paper absorbs the ink in a more defined way.

Too Cool! Look What I Discovered

I figured out that if I inked mostly solid stamps and then stamped off on embossed cardstock once (I used SU Snowburst for this one) that I would get the results shown. I just love it! That's what happens when you "clean" your stamp on something near you that you thought was the baby wipe. Serendipity!
