What Happens When You Can't Get Your Papertrey Order? THIS!!

Last night many people were having trouble ordering and then within a very short time, items such as the Rick Rack Die were already sold out. I finally just gave up.

So---I got creative. I had wanted to order Distressed Stripes, but I found that my Waltingmouse Plaid Stripe from the Backgrounds set worked just as well. No Rick Rack die? I dug out my old Fiskars border scissors and made this one. Can't get the flower dies? Well, my Slice cuts vellum very well as I discovered late last night.

Maybe I need to rethink my purchasing. I honestly never would have thought of any of these options had my order gone through.

Vendor Review

I just got my first set of My Time Made Easy stamps designed by Lauren Meader (the lady who used to make templates for Papertrey). I paid around $23 for a set of 20 stamps and that includes the very reasonable shipping which was around $2 for the set (love that!). The stamps are cute and they stamp well. I ordered on a Friday night and they arrived on a Thursday. The only complaint I have is that they are noticeably thinner than Papertrey stamps and I felt sure I would tear one removing it from the backing acetate the first time. I managed to do it without any tearing. The set I got is called Fabulous Flourishes. It does not contain any sort of case so I put them in a CD.

A Tip for Punches

I have several punches that won't let go of the cardstock easily and I have to wiggle it out and tap it on the counter and in the case of my button punch, I have to go after the punch out with tweezers. I discovered tonight that if I buff both sides of the cardstock with waxed paper before I punch, it works a whole lot better. Hope this helps someone out there!
