Embossing Edges
I have been reading the blogs that show how to emboss with Spellbinders Dies such as Nicole's Blog (linked at www.papertreyink.com). I do not need the dies, but am fascinated with the edges being raised. After thinking about it for awhile, I suddenly realized that my ball roller (purchased at Walmart) over a piece of chipboard from an old cereal box might do the trick. Voila!! Watch for cards I will post in the future.
More details for those asking. Cut the chipboard smaller than the shape you want to emboss. Lay the chipboard under the cardstock and then on the light box or against a window where the sun is shining in. Take your stylus and press and pull it down along the hidden chipboard. This will give you a raised edge on one side and a recessed edge on the other so that you can use which ever side you prefer!

Would you mind telling me how you did that? I keep reading it but can't figure it out. I looked at your picture and I think I have all the supplies but I'm not sure what to do.
thanks!! great idea, I love the raised edges too!
Oh THANK YOU!!! I love the look but no way am I going to spend that kind of money to get it. Don't have a CB either.
You rock girl.

Donna, you are so clever to figure this out. I am all about saving $$$ and not having to buy more tools. Can't wait to try this technique for the embossed edges!
Thanks for sharing this.
